What independent reviewers found
- Mattress Nerd (Oct 2026): Says the hybrid shares the foam AS2's roughly 7/10 feel; better for heavier back and stomach sleepers and hot sleepers thanks to its 8-inch coils, with stronger edges but slightly more motion. Poor fit for side sleepers. Covers both AS2 versions in one article; no measured test data reported. Discloses affiliate commissions. Read it ↗
- NapLab (May 2026): 12-inch memory foam bed rated medium-firm (6/10), suggested for all positions and body weights. Strong cooling, low motion transfer and good pressure relief; low bounce and a softer seated edge pull down its sex score. Good value per NapLab. Tested the all-foam AS2. Amerisleep's own AS2 page lists the AS2 as all-foam, so this matches the product at our link despite the 'Hybrid' in our name. NapLab discloses affiliate commissions. Read it ↗
- Sleepopolis (Oct 2026): Reviewer rated it firm (7.5/10; other testers near 8). Kept hips lifted for back and stomach sleepers, did well on motion and edge tests, and gives some contour without a stuck feeling. Not advised for side or combination sleepers. All-foam AS2 (see NapLab caveat). Sleepopolis earns affiliate commissions. Read it ↗
- Mattress Clarity (Jul 2026): Rated about 7.5/10, firmer than average. Best for stomach and back sleepers who need support; side sleepers, especially lighter or heavier ones, likely to feel shoulder and hip pressure. Scored 4/5 for support, edges, cooling and motion. All-foam AS2. Mattress Clarity receives free products and uses affiliate links. Read it ↗
Their testing, in our words. We haven’t tested these mattresses ourselves, and we don’t repeat their scores.
