How big is a short queen mattress?
An RV short queen is 60 inches wide and 75 inches long: the width of a home queen, 5″ shorter. Some RVs use a 60 × 74 short queen instead.
What size is an RV queen mattress?
Most RV queens are 60 × 75 (“short queen”). Some are 60 × 74, and some RVs take a home queen at 60 × 80.
Can you use a regular queen mattress in an RV?
Only if the platform is 80″ long. On a 75″ platform a home queen hangs 5″ over the end or hits the wall.
Will regular queen sheets fit a short queen?
They’ll go on, but they’re 5″ too long and tend to come loose. Short-queen sheets fit properly.
Will it fit my bed frame?
Measure with the slide-out both open and closed. Check the end of the bed, bedside cabinets, and the maximum height the space can accommodate. Some RV brands sell a 60 × 74-inch short queen. Always choose the exact measurement your platform needs.
