What independent reviewers found
- Sleep Foundation (Oct 2025): Tested all five heights: 6-inch is firm (8), 14-inch is medium soft (4). Thicker versions suit side sleepers up to 230 lb; thinner ones suit average-weight back sleepers. Weak cooling and edges, average motion isolation, about five years of life expected. Reviewed as Dreamfoam Essential (tables label it Dreamfoam CopperFlex Essential); same product sold here. Sleep Foundation discloses it may earn a commission on purchases through its links. Read it ↗
- Mattress Clarity (Oct 2026): 12-inch version felt about 7/10. Best for lighter back and side sleepers; heavier people and stomach sleepers are poorly served. Traps some heat, transfers noticeable motion, edges collapsed; expect five to seven years. Tested the 12-inch height under the Dreamfoam Essential name. Mattress Clarity says it receives free products and earns affiliate commissions. Read it ↗
- Sleep Foundation (best bunk bed mattress) (Feb 2026): Listed as its best low-profile pick for bunks, as Dreamfoam CopperFlex Essential. Roundup entry, not a full review. Sleep Foundation discloses it may earn a commission on purchases through its links. Read it ↗
Their testing, in our words. We haven’t tested these mattresses ourselves, and we don’t repeat their scores.
Sources & sample limits
Three accessible Walmart excerpts syndicated from Brooklyn Bedding: Marie V. (August 31, 2026), Lori C. (August 23, 2026) and Kelli B. (July 28, 2026). Not an independently verified-purchase sample. Sample: 3 owner reports.
No substantive negative exact-model customer excerpt was verified in this small sample. That does not establish an absence of drawbacks. The listing pools different heights: a review discusses 8 inches although the page is for 14 inches. Long-term durability and specific size performance remain unverified.
