What independent reviewers found
RTINGS(Sep 2026): Measured as firm, much firmer than Zinus's own medium rating. Back and stomach support suited light and average-weight sleepers, side-sleeper pressure relief only worked for heavier people, edges sloped and compressed, motion isolation was strong, cooling was good, and the thin, lower-density memory foam top is expected to wear first; slow response can feel stuck. Tested a queen of the 2025 made-in-USA, fiberglass-free version. Affiliate commissions disclosed on page.Read it ↗
Tom's Guide(Jan 2026): Testers found a cushioned, slow-sinking feel that suited side sleepers and some light back sleepers but was too soft for most back and stomach sleepers. Motion isolation was very good, edges were very weak, the lead tester often woke warm, and the off-gassing smell faded quickly. Tested a 10-inch bought from Zinus's Amazon store under an older test method; may predate the 2025 made-in-USA version. Affiliate commissions disclosed on page.Read it ↗
Sleep Foundation(Oct 2026): Testers found it worked for side and back sleepers up to about 230 lbs, but heavier sleepers and stomach sleepers over 130 lbs sank too far. Motion isolation was a strength, edges were average to weak, it tended to hold heat, and they expected a five-to-six-year lifespan. Focused on the 12-inch Green Tea, not the 10-inch sold on zinus.com. Affiliate commissions disclosed on page.Read it ↗
RTINGS(Jun 2026): Measured it firm (65 Pa/mm); scored best for back and stomach sleepers and heavier side sleepers, weak for light side sleepers. Excellent motion isolation, good cooling after a 2026 retest, subpar edges, slow to respond; comfort foam may dent sooner than denser foams. Tested the 10-inch Original Green Tea (2024), queen; RTINGS says a 2025 version has since replaced it. Discloses affiliate links.Read it ↗
Sleepopolis(Oct 2026): Scored the 12-inch model 5/10 firmness, softer than average; suits strict side sleepers and lighter back sleepers, not stomach, heavier or hot sleepers. Strong motion isolation in all tests; edges sank about three inches; tester still felt warm. Tested the 12-inch Green Tea; Zinus.com now sells it at 10 inches. What owners report (earlier version)
Forum owners of older Green Tea memory foam beds call it cheap and comfortable, good for guest rooms. Lifespan reports split: some got five to seven years with no sagging, others say the foam softened or the middle sagged within two to seven years. Older owners also raise worries about the cover lining (current Zinus pages say fiberglass free).
